How to choose a GEO agency in the UK
Updated 26 October 2026
Choose a GEO agency on what it can show, not on the label it uses. The UK market has many search agencies that added a GEO offer in the last year; the useful differences are in the evidence. Here is what to ask, and what the 38 agencies scored by the rules publish in answer.
1. Is there a real GEO offer?
A page that describes the service, its steps and its deliverables. 34 of 38 agencies have one.
2. Which prompts and engines will be tracked?
Ask for the number of prompts, how they are chosen, which engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews) and how often. A report on ten prompts once a quarter is not the same product as two hundred prompts every week.
3. Which tool?
6 of 38 agencies name the AI visibility tool they use. See the tools pages.
4. What have they achieved before?
Case studies, ideally with an AI-search figure. 28 agencies link case studies from their website; 9 publish a quantified AI-search result.
5. Do others recognise them?
35 agencies appear in at least one UK ranking published by another site. Rankings written by an agency about its own market usually place their author first; this site’s methodology explains how its own ranks are set.
6. What does it cost?
Only 5 agencies show a price. See what GEO agencies charge.
7. Who are you dealing with?
A company number on the website, checked on Companies House, and a UK address. 16 agencies show a company number.
8. Is GEO separate from your SEO?
If you already have an SEO agency, ask how the GEO work fits with it. Splitting technical SEO, content and PR across three suppliers is a common source of friction.
